Cardinal Community Energy is a rooftop community solar developer focused on projects that provide direct economic benefits and workforce development opportunities to Illinois residents.
We partner with local communities and commercial real estate companies to develop projects that serve community needs, provide meaningful electricity bill savings, meet ESG goals, and add renewable energy to the grid while utilizing commercial and industrial roof space.

Diana Sarlitto
Diana Sarlitto is a Chicago native and spent many years as a teacher, working with underserved communities throughout Illinois. She was a Teacher Trainer in Albania through the Peace Corps and took a nonprofit leadership position at Recycling Avenue. She established Lotus Spiritus LLC, a company providing education and healthcare services to clients with health impairments, and she is now devoting her passion and skillset to improving the lives of people in her home state of Illinois by means of community solar project development. Diana is devoted to sustainable energy and community development and looks forward to building local partnerships to create access to the benefits of solar.
